William as in Reid, other brother of The Jesus and Mary Chain and therefore someone who probably doesn't know any better than to release such an aggravating single. No doubt the fragile, half-formed nature of 'Tired of Fucking' is meant to be the sound of deep spiritual malaise, of love ebbing painfully away. Unfortunately it sounds like the sort of thing a skinny indie kid with a crush on Kim Gordon might come up with on a slow afternoon in Idaho, all stop-start acoustic strumming, Hare Krishna cymbals and - the last refuge of the lo-fi freak - wheezy school recorder. It's almost endearingly indulgent, until you realise that nobody would have a kind word to say about such a fey, idea-shy improvisation if it wasn't the work of a hero. Only the growly countrified B-sides stop you suggesting that 'Tired Of Music' might be a more appropriate title."
